About 'Thiruvarangu'

"Thiruvarangu" was originally established in Alappuzha during the 1960s and has played a pivotal role in imparting a highly innovative perspective to the cultural sphere of Kerala. The organization which was started by the likes of Shri. G.Aravindan, Padmabhushan Shri Kavalam Narayana Panicker, Shri Nedumudi Venu, Shri Bharat Gopi, Shri Kumara Varma, has been the breeding and training ground to numerous celebrated artists from both theatre and cinema alike.

Thiruvarangu was reinstated in Thiruvananthapuram with an aim of carrying forward the legacy of propagation of authentic indigenous theatre and performing arts traditions. This revived platform promises to inject innovation, vibrancy and value to the cultural space in Kerala, while preserving the wealth of artistic heritage native to the state. We firmly believe that the arts and humanities go hand in hand and that the presence and proliferation of Art in everyday life is imperative for a harmonious society. In alignment to this core belief, Thiruvarangu Ranga Kala Padana Kendram actively functions in the fields of Theatre, Acting, Literature and Training in performing arts and fine arts. With an extremely knowledgeable and experienced advisory panel, a highly talented executive team and a history to be proud of "Thiruvarangu" enjoys both encouragement and support from the public, experts and media alike.
